New Arrival!

My friend LeeAnn gave birth to her little girl on Tuesday. Steve and I went to visit her last night and she is the prettiest little girl. I didn't take my camera! They are coming home today and as soon as I go visit again, I will post a picture of her. Her name is Edith Kate. She is named after her two great-grandmothers. She weighed 6 lbs 8 oz. and was 19 inches long. I can't wait to post a picture of her. They are calling her Kate and I wanted to call her Katie last night, but I was afraid LeeAnn would ask me to leave!! There will be no Katie's!! Just wanted to announce her good news!

Beech Bend

This weekend was our first trip to Beech Bend Park for the year. I am sure it will be followed by many more trips. After the race, we stayed at the camper and Buzzy could NOT pass the park without going in. At least we didn't have to go swimming this trip!

Buzzy was gung ho about getting on the arctic sled ride. The faster it went the bigger his eyes got and by the end of the ride, he was nearly laying in Steve's lap!

Buzzy was so upset last year, because he wasn't tall enough to ride the wooden roller coaster. He was right at the line this year and Steve reminded him to stand on his tip toes when they got to the actual ride. I have a GREAT picture from the ride, but since my computer has grown it's own female brain, and won't cooperate for the life of me, then I will have to post it later. It was great! He said he liked parts of the ride and he will only ride it again if Mimi rides with him. She doesn't ride roller coasters, so I think he knows he's safe!

He loves the big slide and he was all about riding by himself. He rode it over and over!

We had planned on going back on Sunday afternoon to camp and get ready for the race on Monday, but a little fender bender happened on Friday, so there wasn't going to be a race for us. It ended up raining anyway, so it worked out good that we didn't go back. Buzzy loves camping, so I know we will have to take him every chance we get.

The Graduate

This is the picture that the photographer took last night. Doesn't he look so grown up? It is so hard to believe that he is going to be 5. The last five years have gone by so quickly. I want him to stop growing! I know it will be a blink of an eye when Henry is 5 and we are doing pre-school graduation again. Buzzy is so excited because he gets to be in the afternoon class next year. There are only two from his class going to kindergarten, so he will be with most of the same children again next year.

We are still here...

Just been busy. I had computer problems and had to have it doctored on. They fixed it and i got it back, but my modem was so old that AT&T just sent me another one instead of trying to fix the old one. Anyway whats been going on??? Lots of Drs. appointments. I am on the every two week plan now and Buzzy has had another ear infection. This makes three in about 6 weeks. Went Saturday and had a nasty one. He wasn't acting any better so I took him back on Tuesday. The antibiotics weren't working and he then had two ears infected. They did tell me that his tubes have fallen out, so we are going to the Ear dr on Friday. Hopefully we will get more tubes before Henry arrives. He missed the last two t-balls games, but I have made him rest enough that he made it to graduation tonight. I have pictures to post, just not tonight. We are all sleepy. Stevie practiced his car today, all day and he has already retired to the bed! Buzzy wanted to k now why he was going to bed so early! It's 10:30! Tomorrow is playday at the park for Buzzy's preschool. He is determined to go, but we will see in the morning time.

I heard a funny quote today. It applies to everyone!! It said

"To be loved, you have to be nice to others every day. To be hated, you don't have to do squat."
-Homer Simpson

Shower

My baby shower was this past weekend. It went really well and I got so much stuff! Cute and practical stuff! I want to thank all of you that helped with the food, decorating, cleaning up, moving tables!! All of that preparation and cleaning up stuff!
This is me and the girls that gave me the shower. That's Regina, K, me, and LeeAnn. LeeAnn is due in just a couple weeks with a little girl. I wish someone had reminded me to suck my second chin in!
This is the cake. Isn't it precious! I hated to cut it, but oh was it worth it! It was so yummy. The girl that I lived with at Murray the first semester made this. She has her own business. Check her out http://www.dalishas.com/.

Me and my baby. I don't care how old he is, he's still my baby. They both will be! Mamaw called Pappy her baby until the day she passed. I have always told Buzzy that he's my favorite boy and I've been trying to practice saying my favorite BIG boy!

My family. Buzzy didn't want to cooperate on the picture taking, so I was glad that he was even in the picture! That's NaNA, Aunhee, Lucas, Wendy, Buzzy, Me and MiMi.

NaNa introduced Papaw to his adopted grand-daughter the other evening. Everyone in my family loves K...even Lucas!

This is Wendy's husband, Brad. He is such a hoot and when he walked in, I said that I was so glad that the baby-daddy had came by! He thought that was funny! I had to have my picture made with the "real" baby daddy!

Shootin"

K and Tommy came over to MiMi and Pappys tonight. Buzzy wanted to show Tommy Pappy's clay pigeon thrower thingy. Pappy and Tommy shot some pigeons. Buzzy wanted to shoot too, but he couldn't figure out how to hold his ears and hold the gun. Pappy and I got to help him! He was so excited, but informed us that the gun hurt his "boobie!" He is such a mess!

T-Ball Game

I know this doesn't show his face, but I love this picture.
Daddy was the third base coach. Buzzy missed a practice and two games while we were in Florida, so he didn't quite have the base concept down!

This was the first time he went across home plate! He was so proud of himself and he had a cheering section, so he had to give them the thumbs up!

Guess who else is on his team? I think they could be trouble!

Race

Steve's first race didn't go as he wanted it to. He didn't wreck, just didn't go as fast as he wanted! Isn't his car pretty? Didn't scratch is a bit either!

Florida Pictures...finally

These are just a few of the highlights. We had such a good time and K and I didn't even have one cross word!!
This is when we took the little boat to Shell Island. The man let us out of on a sandbar in the lagoon to hunt for sand dollars. We found starfish too. It was really neat. We found probably 40 or so sand dollars, between all of us.

This was when we played Lagoon Golf. It had a HUGE koi pond that was probably bigger than the golf course. We played mini golf every night but one, I think, maybe two nights. Buzzy loves it. He wouldn't let me play. I had to keep score. He would have a fit if anyone tried to bounce their golfball on the sidewalk. The first night, he would take everyone's balls and carry them to the next hole and then let them have their golfball back!

K and Buzzy hunting sand dollars. Notice the sunburn! Hee Hee!

The gang on Shell Island. Yes, I have put on weight, but I was SWOLLEN from the sunburn. I promise! My legs were the same size from the knee down every night. Buzzy was singing "Head, shoulders, knees and cankles, knees and cankles" For those of you that don't get it, like me, a cankle is a leg calf and ankle that are the same size and have no difference in size. I was miserable every evening, but I tried to not whine. And boy, am I peeling and itchy now!

Daddy and Buzzy testing the water.

Warmed up to the water!

Margaritaville! Loved it!

Updated bump. I don't have a clue what Buzzy is doing.

Margaritaville hats. Her's is a flower, mine a palm tree/boat propeller! Buzzy got a parrot head, Steve a black and orange shark fin and Tommy, a pink and white shark fin. He was a party pooper and wouldn't wear his!

Home

We are home from Florida. Got a late start leaving today, so home late tonight. For those of you who have emailed me and gotten no response, I am not ignoring you. I am having computer issues, and it's a miracle that I can even post on here! It's not letting me send ANY email, so until I can get it looked at, no one will be getting email. I think it's got a virus, so I am going to have to consult with someone that knows more than how to turn this crazy thing on! Until later.....

Playdate

Buzzy has wanted Cooper to come over for a long time. Cooper's Mom and I said that when there was a warm day, that we would try to get them together. So Cooper came home from school with us today for a couple hours. Buzzy was so excited that he woke up with a smile this morning! That is an extremely rare occurance! They seemed to have a good time. I don't know about Cooper, but Buzzy was exhausted when we got back from taking Cooper to his grandparent's house!
After we had lunch at McDonalds, I took them to the park for a few minutes. When I say few, that's exactly what I mean. They wanted to go to the house to play with the critters and to play XBox. Of course, they had to feed the chickens!
Then they had to feed the fish.
Then they shared Daddy's chair to play XBox

Buzzy had to take Cooper to the mill so he could see the loaders. Cooper loved watching the chop saw at the mill. **K informed me that this was a little dangerous for them to be at the mill. SO FYI... we were sitting in the tahoe watching from a little ways away from the actual saw. I'm dingy, but come on K!** Buzzy was bored with it, but I told him that Cooper hadn't seen it before and he liked watching it! After that, everytime that Buzzy would try to rush him to do something new, Cooper would tell Buzzy that he hadn't seen or done whatever he was doing before. That way he would get a little extra time to watch or do the "new" thing that he had discovered!

When we got back to the house, they headed for the ditch. Buzzy's digger stays in the ditch by the garage. We rolled up their pants and put some crocs on both of them and they were in heaven! I should have known to take them to the mud first! They had more fun playing in the ditch than doing anything. Cooper kept saying he wanted to get a frog to take to his Mamaw's fish pond. I caught a baby frog for him and put it in a jar. When we got to his grandparents, he and Buzzy headed straight for the pond to let it go. I must say, two little boys are going to run me ragged! I was exhausted myself, but it was worth every second! They had such a good time. Buzzy can't wait until the next playdate. Cooper asked me on the way to his grandparents if I would pick him up at school again sometime!

Turkey

You might be a redneck when you get excited over TWO tom turkey's in your yard! We haven't seen any since we got the dog, but these were in the front yard and he stays on the porch in the back. He never knew they were there and I got some good pictures!

How Do You Discipline your child?

href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq7VeiXK-YD61nAkcmFVtrFTOSAvk9M4JW4tsk9-EIEkZC-opON9oUzwikXuzg-gkZRVFCRR_0z5MZCg_1wzz9KjDUKhjqvJpCG3_-whsr9LOTzPwMTCbwTgHGSV2kqU9M5tY3pA/s1600-h/DSC05169.JPG">

We put ours in the pen with the chickens when he acts up! No, not really! He wanted to sit in there with them! It was such a pretty day today, so I decided to move the chickens to their pen. When it gets warmer and we don't have to use the heat lamp, I'm going to move them farther away from the house. The chickens seemed to like it. They liked sitting on the perch in the cage. Buzzy really liked it too. He went in and out of the pen about 20 times! He would go in and crouch down at the front of the cage and just watch them. Finally I found an old kitty litter bucket that was short enough for him to sit up on comfortably and he was in heaven!

Steve's Car

Steve, Heavy, and Austin worked on the decals all evening. The first race is supposed to be tomorrow night, but it's supposed to rain. We had to have the car ready just in case the sun pops out and the races go on!

Greetings from the Nut House!

I was trying to take a picture of my bump to post on here. Steve came in and decided to be a comedian and then Buzzy wanted in the picture too. He was in the bathtub and I made him cover himself with the washcloth. Does this look like a nut house or what?? I've got a belly and Steve is sucking his in and then there is little Larry the Cable Guy throwing up the peace sign! There's no place like home!
Buzzy went to Owensboro with MiMi and Pappy after school yesterday. MiMi told me he had a little wreck. He has taken after his graceful Momma and Pappy. We have a hard time walking and keeping our balance. Buzzy was walking down a sidewalk with his hands in his pockets, got a little tripped up and fell nose first onto the sidewalk. When he got home, he told me that a grasshopper had tripped him. Really.

Take me out to the TEEEEEE Ball Game!!

Last night was the first T-Ball practice.

Ain't they cute!!

Who said I don't cook...

I have been on a roll this weekend. Friday night we had steak, roasted potatoes, and this yummy dessert. Monday night we had pork chops, green beans, mac and cheese and brownies. And the last night, we had oven fried chicken ( MY ABSOLUTE, ALL TIME FAVORITE!!!!!) fried okra, and corn of the cob. I don't know what is wrong with me, but it is nice to have something other than take out. Since I was "challenged" by my blog buddies, although a long time ago, to post new recipes, this is my first. It is angel food cake with a crushed pineapple concoction filling and fresh strawberries. Steve ate almost the whole thing by himself. Buzzy and I got one small piece each and there was very little left when I threw it out. I think someone sneaks in the refrigerator when I go to bed at night!! Post a comment if you want the recipe. I'm taking tonight off on cooking. Steve wants pizza rolls - YUK. So me and Buzzy will probably have Pizza Time!!

Church Easter Egg Hunt

The church always has an egg hunt for the little one's the Saturday before Easter. We went and it was so cold!
I had the sweetest picture of Buzzy "showing" me all of his finds and of course it didn't save and I have already deleted it from my camera. This is the alternative picture. He found, I think, 32 eggs. He was so excited. We had to take them to MiMi's to show her and Pappy. Then the next morning, the Easter bunny hid them while MiMi and Pappy were at church. Buzzy got to find them all over again.

Easter Fun

The pre-school class went on an egg hunt today at The Courtyard. It's the assisted living in town and they host the hunt every year for the pre-school classes. They provided everything for the hunt. They made a picture frame craft.
Then they had their picture made with the Easter Bunny
Then they hunted their eggs while the glue dried on their picture frames. Then they went in for snacks and received their pictures of them and the bunny. This is Cooper. They are inseparable! When the teachers told the children to line up to go hunt the eggs, Buzzy and Cooper were so excited that they jumped up and down and then had to hug! I am so glad that he has such a good friend. Coopers grandmother is Buzzy's Sunday School teacher and Coopers grandfather it the Tootsie Roll man at church. They were there with Cooper today and Buzzy just loves them too! He asked me one day how Cooper's Papaw makes all those Tootsie Rolls and I told him that maybe he has one of those candy makers like we watch when we are in the mountains!
