Baby Don't Feel Good

Henry went for his two month check up today. He got three shots and he hasn't been a happy little man since. He has slept all afternoon and that has been good. When he's awake he just cries. He has been such a sweety though. He will try to smile and talk to me, but it doesn't last long. Thank goodness for Tylenol!

He was 24 inches long and weighed 13 lbs. 4 oz. I knew he had gained weight, just didn't know how much. Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow.

Leslie Loves Carl!!

Anyone that is not familiar with Nascar may want to skip this post!
This was at Nashville in 2006. I tracked Carl down to have my picture taken with him for K. When Steve was still working for Brewco, it would drive him crazy when people acted goofy over the drivers. He says that he never said this to me, but I would have never made it up on my own, but...I was acting like that at a race during our courting days and he told me to quit acting like a "race fan." He said it jokingly of course, but he really wanted me to stop! He no longer worked for Brewco when this picture was taken and I was desperate for the picture. He stayed at the RV with my parents and Buzzy while my cousin Tammy helped me act like a "race fan" one last time!
I LOVE Carl Edwards. As a matter of fact, if I had been thinking clearly, I would have named Henry - Carl Edward Ashley. Until this weekend I wasn't completely sure why I loved him so much, other than his outstanding backflips. But then, Saturday night it became crystal clear why Carl is my soulmate and could be the only man that Steve should ever feel threatened by.
I despise the Busch brothers like Steve despises the Bodine family. Don't like Kurt Busch, but Kyle is not only unappealing to the eyes, he has the cockiness of my little banty rooster who is named after someone that I am not disclosing on this site. (Some of you know who I am talking about, don't you???) Kyle Busch just thinks he's tough s**t. He is a good driver, don't get me wrong, and has won lots of races this year, but his attitude and confidence in himself absolutely kills any appeal that he could ever exude....
Anyway, Carl bumped him out of the way and won the race at Bristol! Little Kyle didn't like it and roughed up Carl's car on the way back around the track and Carl retaliated and spun the punk out! I went wild! Steve thinks I'm mentally challenged anyway when it comes to my extreme dislike of Kyle Busch. Not only did Carl spin him out after the race, he said he bumped him on purpose during the race, and he didn't apologize for it!! I love it!
So Mr. Lear, what about the sissy driver now?

Weekend in the Mountains

We took the kiddos to the mountains this weekend. Steve didn't have a race at Beech Bend, so I jumped on the free weekend! We took our camper and camped on the river bank in the middle of Pigeon Forge. The only camping that we have done in our camper has been at Beech Bend or Gadsden, so I was really excited about this trip!
Henry and I got to hang out and wait for the bigger boys to get done go-carting. This was Buzzy's trip. We did whatever he wanted. He made all the decisions on what we did and when we did it. So, that means LOTS of mini-golf! We picked where we ate. Otherwise we would have eaten at Taco Bell every meal! The first night we were there, we went to Taco Bell. It was late and we were the only ones there, so the guy at the counter showed Buzzy how to play this little coin game. It was a donation thingy, but if your coin landed on a certain ledge in this container, you won either a taco, burrito, or cinnamon twists! Buzzy and the guy won two things of cinnamon twists and B was hooked after that. We had to eat at Taco Bell on our way home, but he wasn't as successful at the one in Bowling Green!

Buzzy can't wait until Henry is big enough to tube with him in the creek. Daddy is fun, but I think he knows that his brother will be a little more into the whole tubing thing!

For now, Henry hung out on the bank and watched the excitement!

The big un's in the creek!
This was before the race. Everytime they went by, Buzzy was farther down in his seat and hanging farther over the side! He said these were too fast and that he was "heated." That's hot in Buzzy language! When he gets really hot, he says that he's either heated or sweltering!

On the tram going to play Hillbilly Golf. He chose me to play with him!!! I was so excited! Daddy gets picked to do everything, but I was picked to golf!

We had a really good time. I was glad to get home to take a bath in a tub! We just have a shower in the camper and that is true "roughing it" for me! I am a bath kind of girl! Buzzy had to go straight to MiMi's when we got home. He had an emotional breakdown Friday night because he hadn't seen her in "days." He asked if he could spend the night with her when he got home, so that's where he is! Such a MiMi's boy!

Good morning & Good night.

Henry when he woke up this morning. Yes, he's in my bed! He sleeps in his crib until 4:00 am or anytime after that. Shortly after 4, he gets real restless and jabbery (is that a word?) until he gets in our bed. He sleeps good and sound after that. Buzzy slept with us until he was 2 1/2 and still wants one of us to lay down with him until he's asleep. I don't mind having either one of them in the bed with us, especially if it means a couple more hours of good sleep!

Kate & LeeAnn came to visit tonight. She is the sweetest little girl! I really don't think it's fair that she is so content all the time. Henry was doing his usual fussing when they came in. LeeAnn wanted to know what was wrong! I asked if Kate fussed like that and, of course, she said no! And I told her that it's not fair. Everyone should have a baby that fusses, at least a little every evening! That is except LeeAnn! If anyone deserves a good baby, it's her!

Buzzy wanted his picture made with the girls. L wanted Buzzy to hold Kate, but he freaked! He set in Henry's seat in the floor next to them and before he knew what happened, LeeAnn plopped Kate in his lap! I think he's getting this baby holding down finally!

Little...

Little feet.

Little hands.
Little sleeping boy.

Uncles...

Buzzy was so happy to see his Uncle Ryan at the races on Friday. Buzzy had his bicycle all taken apart and Ryan didn't mind to help put it back together!

#2 is Gone

The second tooth fell out on Saturday night! He won't put this one out for the tooth fairy. He said he wanted to keep this one and if the tooth fairy took it he would be really sad. Guess he's not wanting that toy at Toys R Us as bad as we thought!

Growing...

One week

Five weeks.

I can't believe how quickly these first six weeks have gone by. Tomorrow Henry will be six weeks old and I go for my check up. It seemed like it was two years before Buzzy was six weeks old! These two are daylight and dark different. Henry goes to bed anywhere between 10 and midnight and gets up around 3-4:30 and then around 7:00. Buzzy was up every two hours forever. When Buzzy was six weeks old he had his first of umpteen ear infections. So far, Henry hasn't been sickly. He spits up a little, which Buzzy didn't do, but I can handle a little spit! I could go on and on about their differences. The one thing they have in common is that they are adored by their momma and daddy!

Coneheads

I have always thought that Buzzy and Pappy looked so much alike!
