Favortie Toy from HOHO

This is Buzzy's favorite toy. We have built and rebuilt this marble game bunches of times. He has built marble games since he was little bitty. It started with his red Buzzy chair and a quilt. He would cover his chair with the quilt and roll the marble down the quilt. He spied a real marble game in a toy book and that's all we have heard about! Every present he opened he would say "maybe its a marble game." The last present he opened at Mimi's was the famous "Quadrilla Marble Game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He sqealed and sqealed and had to show it to everyone! Another one of those magical Christmas moments.

Since Buzzy enjoyed opening presents so much, I had a brainstorm for conning him into doing #2 on the potty. I thought maybe we would have Potty Presents. This morning was the first attempt at using the Potty Presents. He came in to tell me that he needed a diaper. I told him that he had presents to open if he would use the potty. He told me that he wanted to save the presents.

Me: are you sure you don't want to open the presents

Buzz: NO

Me: they are wrapped in real pretty blue paper with white ribbon

Buzz: No I want to save them

Me: You don't want to open more presents?

Buzz: No I opened plenty.

I went to get the diaper. Mission failed.

I Know, I Know

I have gotten two emails letting me know that I am slacking on the blog thing. It has been an incredibly busy weekend. Saturday we went to eat with Heavy, Regina, and Austin. Went to Texas Roadhouse and ate WAY too much. Sunday was church. The special went great. I am not meant to video, because my batteries went dead. Austin did a great job recording for me though. Heavy told me that he was going to put a "Hex" on my camera when it was time for his solo. He must have because that's when it went off....Scary!

Sunday night - Christmas Eve - Mimi, Pappy, NaNa and Papaw came over for finger food. We had the best time. Buzzy got to open his presents from NaNa and Papaw. He wanted to open ALL the presents under the tree. We finally convinced him that we had to wait for HOHO. Mom and I went to get her gifts from her house so we could open. When we got back, Buzzy was sound asleep on the sunporch. Steve tried to keep him awake. They had a little argument and Buzzy went to the porch and went to sleep anyway. He was out until about 8:45 on Christmas morning.

He was absolutely thrilled with his tent that HOHo brought for him. He asked me if I had written HOHO a letter for him, telling HOHO what he wanted. I told him I did. He thanked me and kissed my foot! He would not go sit on HoHo's lap this year. I told him he would have to send HOHO a letter. THat's why he asked me if I had sent HoHo the letter. He told everyone he came across that day that I had sent Hoho a letter telling him what Buzzy wanted him to bring. I forget how innocent my baby is. He acts like a little adult but when the excitement over Hoho was apparent, it truly brings back the magic of Christmas! It made all that work and holiday shopping worth it when Buzzy's eyes were bugged and sparkly!

Mimi and I took him to see "Charlott's Web" last night. I wasn't sure how he would do since he's never been to a movie before. He loved it! It was a really good movie. He had Skittles and Popcorn and was glued to the screen. I just love experiencing all the "new" things with him. I just want to remember every little detail.

I am having problems posting pictures. I will keep trying.

Busy Week

We will be leaving for Alabama on Thursday sometime. We have had a busy week. Sunday's are always busy this time of year, because of choir practice. Steve and Pappy went to Indiana somewhere to look at saw mill machinery on Tuesday. They love looking at that stuff. If Buzzy had known that's what they were doing, he would have thrown a fit to go with them. He wants to come to the mill everyday to put wood on the conveyor belt. He loves conveyor belts and I do believe we have another generation of sawmiller! We went to Wal Mart on Monday and we ran into one of the men that runs the chop saw. I was talking to him and telling Buzzy what the man does at the mill. Buzzy let me know that he knew who the man was. Buzzy and his Daddy had went to visit the man in his booth. Yet again...excuse me!!

It's funny because when I was little and Dad would go out of town, he would always bring me something back. A shirt, hat, toy, just anything to let me know he was thinking about me while he was gone. Buzzy told them to bring him something back when they come back from their trip. I just talked to Steve and him and Pappy were at Target hunting for something for Buzzy! He will be thrilled when they get home. Last night he was concerned with when Daddy was coming home. He has gotten to where he wants a specific time frame, so I told him Daddy would be home by the time he went to bed tonight! That made him happy!

Buzzy woke me up last night getting into my bed. It was about 4 or 4:30 this morning. I was rather incoherent, but I knew that something didn't smell right. I thought Buzzy had had a major accident. When I got woke up enough to use what little brain that I have, I figured out the smell was Skunk, not Buzzy funk! Someone ran over a skunk sometime last night on the main road and it could be smelled all the way to Mom's house. I thought Banjo got sprayed and she thought Reggie had got it, but it was just that poor flatten skunk! Luckily the smell was gone by lunch! Nothing like waking up to the aroma of fresh skunk!!

Quick Trip

We made a quick trip to Nashville to see Radford play Belmont. We got to visit with Uncle Mikey, Ninnie and Jerre at the mall for a little bit and again at the game. Buzzy really wanted Ninnie and Jerre to come see his room. He told them to be careful, because the roads getting to the hotel were "kinda tricky!"

That Uncle Mikey always has tricks up his sleeve. He got the Belmont mascot to come see Buzzy and then he introduced him to the real Santa Claus! Buzzy was impressed with Santa!

He loved our room. We tried to stay at Opryland, but they were full for last night. We stayed downtown at the Double Tree Inn. We had a corner room. It was triangular. Two of the three walls were glass. We could see forever because we were on the eighth floor. It had two heaters! Talk about Country going to town! I was impressed with the two heaters. All those windows made for a cold room!! I hope we can take Buzzy back to see the lights at Opryland before they are taken down. I think he would like them.

Who Is This Child?

Is this the same child? How can he be so angelic one minute and then "himself" the next? I wouldn't change him for the world! I cannot get over how mature he's getting. We carry on actual conversations and he doesn't blink an eye when someone needs correcting!

His Christmas pictures turned out so good. I had to order them from the computer screen the day they were taken. I knew they were good, but not as good as they are in person.

Not too much has gone on the past week. Buzzy and I went to Clarksville on Thursday to go to Chuck E Cheese and the scrapbook store. Mimi and Pappy deserted us and went to the mountains and had to call EVERYDAY to keep me updated on everything that they were doing.
I think Buzzy asked at least 20xs a day when Mimi was coming home. I would give him and answer and even if I said "in five minutes" he would say "That's too long!!!"

I haven't put any presents out yet. Steve brought my birthday presents in two days before my birthday and Buzzy was on top of them. He had those babies unwrapped in no time! He has no restraint when it comes to presents. Christmas morning is going to be wild!!

Steve and I signed up for volleyball at church. Let me rephrase - I signed US up. He said it's fine as long as he's on a winning team. I played when I was in HS at our other church and had a blast. Heavy said he would play if Steve did, so I know Steve will have a good time!

I will try to get everyones pictures delivered or in the mail this week. They will probably come with the Christmas cards. Everybody, have a good week!
