Almost ready to... Start HIS Engine!!!

Steve was anxious for the weather to break. He was ready to get his car painted, but the weather has not been cooperating. Steve, Heavy, and Austin worked several nights last week getting the care ready. They started around 8:00 Saturday morning and Steve got in the bed around 1:00 am Sunday morning. There were three sleepy looking guys at church on Sunday, but they got done what they wanted to get done! We went to the Big Shop to see the car, but they already had it loaded and ready to come back to the house. Buzzy posed for me to get a picture. I'll post another picture when Stevie gets the car completely ready.

Mom and I have started taking painting classes from Heavy's wife, Regina. She is a nut and we are having a great time!! The three of us went to Evansville last week and hit all the craft stores and of course ate a really yummy lunch at Schilers BBQ! Saturday night while Steve and Regina's guys were painting the car, Buzzy and I went and hung out with Regina for awhile. We started our classes last week and learned the basics. Tonight was our second lesson and this is my finished product!! It's not perfect, but it's way better than I ever thought I could do!! It's really fun and I already can't wait until next week! Everyone will probably be getting painted stuff for every holiday and birthday!! Get ready, start clearing out some space!!!

Dentist Visit

Needless to say, this isn't a face I have seen much of today. Buzzy went to the dentist this morning for a filling and a cap. He did great. He was not happy about having to get straight out of the bed, get his clothes on, and not getting to have breakfast. To say the least, he was p****d. All the way to Madisonville, he asked if I had a bag of food. (I always take snacks when we go anywhere.)

He did absolutely great. I had no idea how he would do, but he floored me. I couldn't believe how cooperative he was. They thought he was about 5 years old from his size, but they said the way he acted, that he could have been 6! That made me so proud! I really forget sometimes that he is a boy, and he will act accordingly, but overall, we are truly blessed with a little gentleman!

I have felt the urge from time to time to put him back in his "cage!" He hollered for me the other day to save him. I don't know why, but he loves playing with his old crib. I keep it under our bed and he is constantly dragging it out to make a "pallet machine." He got it out and made himself a gate going into my bedroom and he was so proud of himself! He was supposed to have a friend come over today to stay, but I had forgotten about his dentist appointment, so she will have to come another day. Amberlynn, his friend, will be 3 in March, and he calls her "that baby." He was getting the baby bed ready for her and he wanted to go buy baby toys too! He is too sweet

Snow Day

This is when Buzzy first fell off his sled. He didn't know what to think of his snowy mittens.

He loved the snow coming up on the front of his sled. He couldn't get it off fast enough. I later used this snow to throw snow balls at Steve and Buzzy riding on the Rhino! It was rather tricky but by the time I was off the sled, I had gotten the throw down!

Steve helped Buzzy with his sledding and then tried it out for himself. We both agreed that it wasn't near as fun as it used to be, for us anyway. I think playing in the snow perked Buzzy up. He was bright eyed as soon as he realized that there was snow on the ground! There was no way that I could keep him from the snow, since he's never got to play in real snow before. This is the best snow that we have had since Buzzy came into the world.

Best Husband Award

The award goes to Stevie! He got me red roses for our Anniversary and pink roses for Valentine's day! I have to tell a funny story on him. The day before Valentine's day, Steve and Glenda sent me pink tulips. Thanks so nice of you all!! Steve came in from lunch, saw the tulips, made maybe two steps across my office, snatched the card to see who it was from. He was relieved to see that it was from his parents!! He couldn't figure out who would send "Leslie Brewer" flowers. He told me that if he had gotten back before me, he was going to white-out his mom's name, then they would have looked like they were from him!! He went ahead and sent me the pink ones on Valentine's Day. I told him a week or so ago that pink roses were my favorite and he remembered. Definately Best Husband material!!

It snowed a couple of inches last night. It is so pretty. Buzzy isn't up yet, but I know he's going to want to go out. He has ear problems again. He has fever this morning so I don't think playing in the snow is the best idea. He will be heartbroken. He just layed around all day yesterday, so I knew he wasn't feeling too good. When I come home at lunch and he's laying on the couch, covered up, I know that he doesn't feel good.

We have been watching SPEED all week. We are ready for the racing to get going!! We've been ready since the last one last year! Sunday afternoons just aren't the same without the sound of race cars when we wake up from our nap!!

Snow babies

Buzzy wants it to snow so bad. He had to play in what little snow we got last weekend. Eventhough is was about 15 degrees outside, he had a blast. Daddy was voted into being his snow buddy. Buzzy wasn't cold but Steve just stood and watched. Funny how things get when we get older huh? When we were younger, we would have been out on the 4 wheelers, but now we just want to stay in by the fireplace!!

Banjo liked the snow too. He threw his little squeaky toy all over the place! It was the first time that he's seen snow. We got him a dog house, but it took a couple days for him to try it out. I tried letting him in the garage with Shorty, but that was a bad idea. Buzzy also has gotten a hamster. I'm not so sure about this thing. It stinks!! I thought the bird was messy too, but I think the hamster has it beat. It takes it's seed up into it's exercise wheel. It's plastic and enclosed, so all night we get to listen to a pea-gravel-in-a-bucket like sound. I got up the other morning and there were rubber bands all over the wheel. Upon closer inspection, my husband had fixed it to where the wheel wouldn't spin. I'm thinking maybe NaNA might want to animal sit this one too........The hamster's name is Stuart Little. Buzzy is quick to correct you. It's not Stuart..it's Stuart Little. Have to have both names. Very important!!

Thanks everybody for the Valentine's stuff. Thank goodness Buzzy doesn't get sugar highs!! We are going to try out his movie book when we go to bed tonight. I'm sure we will have to watch it on the ceiling!!
