Viva Vi-ag----I mean Las Vegas!

Buzzy has the Elvis bug! I loved Elvis when I was little and Buzzy has inherited it too. I remember getting Elvis movies for Christmas and I had a framed poster hanging in my room for many years. Mom and Dad took me to see an impersonator when I was little while we were vacationing in the mountains. Twenty some years later, he's at the little theatre just down the road. You know I was there! Buzzy loved it!
This was the look he had whenever Buzzy knew the sond he was singing. This one was "Hounddogger" - as Buzzy calls it!

Look at that pride on Buzzy's face!

I have never been this close to such a legend!

Henry Update

Henry is doing much better. We went back to the Dr. on Thursday and he got another shot. His ears are still infected, just not as swollen and red. He has to go back again on Monday. Hopefully his ears will be cleared up enough that he won't get another shot! I don't like shots, but these are the good kind. They work so fast.

Update...

Henry is doing much better today. Dr. Danhauer gave him an antibiotic shot because his ears are not responding to the oral kind. He goes back on Thursday for a check up. He didn't have a fever last night for the first time in a week, so the shot must be working!

On a lighter note, Buzzy has another bird. I say it's his, but I love it too. It's a baby cockatiel and it's name is Tweetsy. He was afraid of her (we don't know if it's a boy or a girl, for sure, but we are calling it "she") at first, but they have warmed up to each other! They like to watch TV together. The bird wants to be on someones shoulder all the time! So much better than the parakeets!

What a Week...

Not only did I have one of the best weekends with my husband, but I came home to two sick kiddos. I took them to the nurse practitioner on Wednesday. Buzzy had bronchitis, Henry two ear infections. Henry continued to run fever, so I took him back to his pediatrician on Friday. We found out that he has RSV, on top of two ear infections. He has been so sick. He has always been a decent sleeper, but for the last 4 nights, that has not been the case. Last night, Steve slept with him in the recliner. When they finally got up, Henry had a 106.3 temperature. I nearly died! I called the dial-a-nurse at the pediatrician's and she sent us straight to the ER! She told me if we had any problems on the way, to stop and call 911! After blood work and chest x-rays, we find out that it's still those ears and that RSV! We have to go back to the pediatrician in the morning. Henry is fussy, but he has smiled a few times this afternoon. I hope that Mr. RSV never comes to visit us again! Or any one for that matter!

Key West Anniversary/Second Honeymoon/Christmas Trip

Steve & I went to Key West over the weekend. We have wanted to go since we were married 8 years ago. We have a few friends that gave us advice on where to stay, what to do and places to eat. We had talked ourselves out of going until a couple weeks ago. We wanted to go and I booked it before I could talk myself out of it again. The boys stayed with MiMi & Pappy and didn't even notice that we were gone! I was worried about Buzzy crying for me at night, but he didn't. The morning that we left, he teared up and said he didn't want me to go. I told him that I would be back with presents and toys. His lip quivered a bit and he said "Oh, Okay then." Presents get him everytime! Here are a few of my favorite pictures.
Steve at Smathers Beach. Yes, he has on a sweatshirt and there are people laying out in the sun behind him! It was upper sixties and windy while we were there. We were on scooters, so it got a little chilly!

Outside of Ernest Hemingways house. There were cats everywhere.

Ernest Hemingways house. It was so pretty. I think I'll be moving there soon!

Our breakfast at the Blue Heaven Restaurant. Yes, we ate almost all of it!

When we got out on Saturday morning, we could hear roosters crowing. Steve said it felt just like home! While we waited to get a seat for breakfast, cats and chickens were running everywhere. After we were seated and waiting for our food, a rooster started crowing. It sounds really close and then I noticed him on top of the lean-to in the corner. After a little crowing, he decided to fly down and walk around the tables, pilfering for food.

BEWARE OF EXPLODING BLUEBERRIES!
That's what the menu should have said. Steve had little black specs on his shirt under the AJ's symbol. I asked him what they were from and he said he didn't know. In just a second, he figured it out. When he cut into his pancakes, the blueberries were exploding! You can see the juice on the lefthand side of his shirt!

There were some people on Duval Street with cockatoos, iguana, and a python. I just wanted to hold the bird!

The famous Key West sunset.

We could not get close to this thing in the day. We rode our scooters back at night and didn't have a problem!

Our super-speedy scooters. The only way to get around!

A couple that had just gotten engaged took our picture. We took theirs, they took ours! After the left, Steve said "Poor guy!"
We had a blast. I we could have ran home, got the boys, and then ran back, we would have. We are already trying to figure our when we can go back!

Ice, Ice Baby

Buzzy in the dark with his candle!

The power hadn't been out long and everyone was still having a good time!
MiMi & Pappy were the last one's to lose power. Aunhee & Gary lost it first, then NaNa and Papaw, us and then MiMi & Pappy. Steve loaded the generator up the day the storm was supposed to hit, so we were ready. MiMi & Pappy have two gas stoves, so their house was warmer than ours the whole time. Our power came back on Sunday evening, and Mimi and Pappys came on shortly after ours. NaNa, Aunhee & K still don't have power. We have been so so so fortunate. We were warm, fed, and only got a little stinky through all of this. I was never so happy to see running water!

Graham area going to K's.

Graham area also.

Our driveway.

Cleaton Road after it had been cleared. The first night, there were trees down everywhere and it was a maze getting from MiMi's back to our house.

Long time, no see

What's been going on since Christmas...

Not much.

School started back

Henry is into everything with his walker.

They both have been sick.

Henry has two teeth.

Buzzy has two lizards.

Henry has learned to fly (see above)

Have a new scrapbooking partner...MiMi!

Got a new computer because the old one has a mind of its own. I have saved my pictures to September of 2007; this means I have one year and three months of pictures that may or may not be retrieved from that stupid computer. This is a nightmare for a scrapbooker.

Steve has the body on his newest racecar-looks really good.

Celebrated our 8 year anniversary yesterday! January 20th! Steve's Uncle and friend made a little bet at our wedding. Don't know the details but, to them, we weren't going to make it through the first couple of years. Thanks Uncle Mikey!

Can you believe it??

I don't know about anyone else, but I am glad that the holidays have passed. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy every minute of it while it's here. I just feel like I am in a constant hurry the last couple weeks before the "big" day! Henry's first Christmas was spent teething, so it wasn't quite as pleasant as it could have been. He now has two bottom teeth and they are so cute!

Buzzy has asked for an ICoaster since about June. He didn't get it at our house, he got it at MiMi's. When we were done opening packages at home, he asked me if he didn't get one, if that meant that he had been too bad this year. He was thrilled when he opened it at MiMi's. I told him that I guessed that Santa thought he had been to bad, but I guessed that MiMi felt different!

Henry was really fussy on Christmas morning. We couldn't figure out what Pappy had done to get him quiet. He put his headphones on him and let him listsen to Christmas music. He loved it!! He was just quiet and smiley the whole time that he was rockin'!

Henry liked the bows better than the gifts!

Buzzy would not visit with Santa at any of the malls. He said he would get to see him at preschool. When Santa asked what Buzzy wanted for Christmas, he told him a wheelie motorcycle, and I coaster, and a case of duct tape in all colors. Santa thought that was really funny! Ms. Sabrina said that it didnt surprise her! She knows my Buzzy!

When we came home from Alabama, Buzzy wanted to eat at Cock of the Walk. He loves it. They looked cute in the big rocking chair!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Buzzy dressed up for his Thanksgiving dinner at school on Tuesday. He could be either a pilgrim or an indian. Last year, I wasn't prepared and all he had was a headband. This year, he wanted me to order him a real Indian costume. Once again, I wasn't prepared. So...we made our costume! Next time, I will need to use hot glue. I think he had maybe 10 beads left on his outfit when he got home! Craft glue wasn't getting the job done!

He had to make Henry a headband too and Daddy didn't want to be left out. He borrowed Buzzy's headband!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Hope you gobble 'til you wobble!!

Chicken Coop

**My pictures posted backwards**
I know everyone gets tired of hearing what a great husband I have, but well, he is! He built my chickens a REAL coop over the weekend. Steve's Dad built Buzzy a chicken house for his birthday and now it has a courtyard to go with it!
Buzzy loves it. He goes out there everyday to chase the chickens around and check for eggs. It is really nice. Steve and I worked all afternoon Saturday and then again Sunday afternoon. Heavy and Austin assisted us on Sunday. They always seem to show up when we are working on our chicken projects!
Anyway, the house has a heat lamp in it, so at night it looks like they are having family time in their little house! I just love it! My mamaw would be so proud!

Henry

Steve is sure that Henry is going to be his racer. He says that he can already tell that Henry is going to want to race cars! Henry is a little Stevie for sure. Laid back, always pleasant, and charms the ladies!

Henry has a new trick. This makes Pappy so nervous. He holds his breath until Henry is back in Steve's arms. When Buzzy was little, Steve would "walk" him on our ceiling (turn him upside down and walk...). I guess this is going to be Henry's trick until he's long enough to get his feet on the ceiling!

Donuts

While Steve and I were working on the chicken coop - finally - MiMi and Buzzy were making homemade donuts! They were so good. So much for my diet! I will post pictures of our chicken condo with courtyard later. Steve and I haven't finished it yet, but it will be done today!

Growing, growing...

I can't believe he will be five months old tomorrow. It's going by way to quickly.

Guess who's rolling over!!

Halloween 2008

Our Halloween was full this year. Buzzy and Henry got lots of treats from family and friends. Buzzy's party was at school on Thursday, but I didn't get to go to it. I took Henry to the dr. for his 4 month check up. He weighed 17 lbs and is 26 1/2" long. he is in the 97 percentile for his age for his height and 85% on his weight!
Buzzy was Jeff Gordon again. He said this will be his last year as Jeff Gordon. Next year he says he will be Tony Stewart! He has it planned for the next four years. Tony Stewart, then Jimmie Johnson, then Jr., and then maybe Carl Edwards!!
We went down town on Friday to Trick or Treat. Daddy went with us this year. We went early, so Buzzy could go to the lake with MiMi and Pappybefore it was too late. Buzzy was upset because he didn't get to Trick or Treat with Chandler this year. He just got to have his picture taken with her. They were just getting there when we were leaving. Maybe next year.
Henry rolled over by himself for the first time on Wednesday. I videoed it, but I'm waiting for a better one to put on here. He is growing WAY too fast. Now you are up to date!
by the time I get henry to look up, buzzy is done smiling nice!

So cute it's scary! That's what his shirt said!

My little turtle. Thank you for the costume MiMi!

Buzzy with his treat bucket from MiMi and as Jeff Gordon.

Buzzy & Chandler met up at the bank.

Playing Catch Up...

We have been so busy. Here is a little recap of what's been going on...

Went to Highland Rim to watch Daddy's first race there. It wasn't too redneck that night. Thank goodness!
Daddy on the track for his first race at Highland Rim.

Went to have lunch with Lucas and Aunhee at McDonald's and then to the park.

Cool cat!

Cute cat!

Stop-taking-my-picture cat!

Got to bring Blackie the class bear home.

Went to the Pumpkin Patch. This slide was up Buzzy's alley! He LOVED it!

Can you say TROUBLE?

This scarecrow asked if anyone had a song to sing while we were on the hay ride. Buzzy said he did and busted out Folsom Prison Blues! The scarecrow said that was a good song, but not quite what she had in mind! I stopped him after "I ain't seen the sunshine." He looked at me and with his silly voice said "Now that is a good song!"

After the Pumpkin Patch, we went to pick Henry up at NaNa's, and Buzzy headed straight for his climbing tree.

Why are the best pictures always blurry? Henry loves his NaNa.
