The power hadn't been out long and everyone was still having a good time!MiMi & Pappy were the last one's to lose power. Aunhee & Gary lost it first, then NaNa and Papaw, us and then MiMi & Pappy. Steve loaded the generator up the day the storm was supposed to hit, so we were ready. MiMi & Pappy have two gas stoves, so their house was warmer than ours the whole time. Our power came back on Sunday evening, and Mimi and Pappys came on shortly after ours. NaNa, Aunhee & K still don't have power. We have been so so so fortunate. We were warm, fed, and only got a little stinky through all of this. I was never so happy to see running water!

Yuck!!! I dont like ice, we had some in Texas a few years ago and they didnt handle it very well, but we didnt lose power. Glad everyone is ok, warm, fed and now Clean!
I WANT SOME ELECTRICITY!!!!!O.K. now I feel better. We are so fortunate to have a generator and are somewhat warm, are clean and can watch T.V.Alot of people can't.It' also nice to have family that cares. We are going to really enjoy our beach trip in May!!!Maybe we will have power by then!
Our Mennonite friends told me this is the first time they had the advantage over us. They don't depend on power to determine how they live their day. Ummmmm, maybe we do need to stop and think about how good we do have it. We also found out coffee can be made on the grill, water warmed by the fireplace, and clothes washed on the old washboard, (was that ever cold). Most of all we have eachother and the babies were warm.
Sorry, that was me up there.^^^^^^
