NaNa made me feel bad because I didn't want to dye eggs this year. I am so glad she did so, because I had one happy little boy. He was in the garage with Daddy on Saturday night, so I went ahead and boiled the eggs and let them cool before I hollered at him on the walkie talkie. He has started talking to me when I call down there for them. It's so sweet. We have to give him a little help, because he hasn't quite gotten down the "hold-the-button-and-talk-at-the-same-time" concept! He has to repeat himself quite a bit.
Anyway. the conversation went something like this.
Me: (remember this is on a walkie-talkie) Hey Buzzy
B: Go ahead Momma
Me: you gonna help me color these eggs or what?
B: (screams trailing off from the radio) I wanna go, I wanna go, I wanna go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Daddy: Be there in a minute!

Daddy got to help too. It's funny how this big macho, Daddy-type gets when you bring out kiddo stuff, like egg dye. He was all into hiding them on Sunday too. Me and Pappy were in charge of the hiding and Stevie got to carry the basket while Buzz-wuz seeked. The eggs were a little battered by the time we hid them a couple of times. We had explained that they were real and that you had to be REALLY careful with them. That lasted about two eggs and then he was slamming them in the basket and running for more! The real ones are his "outside" eggs and the plastic ones are "inside" ones!

I must say, I don't recall ever actually dying Easter eggs, I'm sure I did, but it has left my memory. It was worth every drip of red dye on my kitchen counter (I see why they recommend using plastic under your work area!!) and I got to use my clorox bleach pen and guess what, it's works!!
